Around The World Trip 02

Diary #02

I am laying on my bed thinking about all the things we've done today. Today is the second and last day in Barcelona.

I didn't get to eat breakfast this morning because I woke up too late. My parents and I left the hotel and into the hot weather. We walked over to the taxi stop and got into the first taxi in line. The driver dropped us off at the trail in front of the Guell Park. We had tickets to Gaudi House Museum so we went inside.

We had just entered Gaudi's house!!! We saw his bathroom, bedroom, parlor, etc. When we walked out the backdoor, we arrived at his garden. My dad said it was his "Dream Garden" and wanted to make one just like it.

Once we finished admiring the garden, we followed the trail some more. Then, through the giant trees, I saw the famous Guell Park Bench! I ran over to it and noticed that I had to wait in line with tickets but luckily, we already had tickets. As I tried to give a man who worked there the tickets, he said we had to wait 5 minutes in line. After 5 minutes of waiting, we were aloud inside. FINALLY! As soon as I was inside, I rushed over to a shady area and sat on my "Dream Bench". People had said this bench was really comfortable but I had never believed them. But as I sat, I noticed that this hard bench really was comfortable! Even comfier than a cushioned couch!

After lots of sitting, we went downstairs. The chair had been on a roof! WE had been sitting on a roof! We had been on the roof of the "Rainy Clouds Building"! After we took 300 pictures in the "Rainy Clouds Building" we walked over to the "Wave Cave". My parents and I thought one of bars looked like a woman balancing stuff on her head. I copied her with an upside down hat on my head. Soon, I learned that Gaudi had purposely made that one pillar look like a woman holding stuff on her head.

After getting that into knowledge, we went to see the Iguana Water Fountain. There, we took another 20 pictures. Once we were done taking pictures, we went back to our hotel. After a couple hours of sleep, we went to Guell's House. There were Christmas Trees made out of tiles on the roof. Guell had been a rich friend of Gaudi's and had wanted him to build him a house. I said to myself, If Gaudi were still alive,I would've asked him to build me a house too. I was REALLY impressed with Gaudi's work and I would love to own one. When we finished staring at his wonderful work, we went to a restaurant called La Falda. I had steak, mom had black rice, and dad got a baby octopus squirted with an ink sack. We all agreed that All of it was REALLY good.
