Horse Memo Diary Part 3

Intro:

The story restarts on March 17, 1877.

Chapter 4:

Anne and Beauty have been getting along quite well for the past month. They have been so well, we would let them free for 2 hours each day. They would trot over to our field full of blue bonnets. There, they would run around run around. They would then go over to the stables, get some water, eat, then get into their stables. Over the month, they had become smart enough to open the hatch to their stables. But today, something weird, something unusual happened.

They got on their hind legs and would try to bite us when we tried to separate them. They had opened the hatch to the "Mating Stable". We call it that because when two horses are mating, we put them in there since it is the biggest stall we have. When my dad and I had come to the stables to see how everything was going, we noticed this. We casually pulled Beauty and Anne into their stalls. Halfway there, they would go crazy and would run back into the "Mating Stall".

After 1 hour of trying, we gave up. We decided to let them be together in the Mating Stall for that day. But when it happened again the next day, we called the vet. The veterinarian came took them to his office which was uneasy at first, but got them to calm down by talking to them and giving them an apple, he managed to get them inside his stables. They were HUGE compared to the ones we had. My dad and I were impressed. Even though the horses had calmed down, they started to get uneasy when the veterinarian tried to separate them. He had to put it in HIS Mating room which was as big as 2 of OUR rooms. Beauty and Anne seemed to like it. After putting the horses down, he started to do the Xray Exam. After 10 minutes after starting the exam, I called John to come at once. John must've had about 10 horses because he arrived at the vet on a horse. I was confused at first since I HAD HIS HORSE but he was on another.

Then he explained that his father was a farmer and had 40 horses!!!!! FOURTY!!!!!!! I stared in shock. Then I looked at the horse John had been riding. How could this horse run so fast? John explained again, "I was on a carriage pulled by 18 of the fastest horses. But when he had only one mile to go, had let them head toward his home leaving just his most fastest horse. He told me his name was Black Smith which made since sense Black Smith was a black horse.

AUTHORS NOTE:

BTW, beauty is a white horse and Anne the horse is brown!!!! Keep reading!!!!!!!

Back to Story:

I take Black Smith into a stall and feed it some water. Then, I leave it and go to Beauty and Anne. I see the veterinarian talking to John and my dad, who is btw, Jack. As the veterinarian finishes his sentence, my dad's worried face turns into a smile. So does Johns. OMG. I KNOW what is happening!!!!! BEAUTY AND ANNE ARE MATING!!!!!!!!!!! OMG OMG!!!! I am so happy that I jump up and down. I had never seen this happen before and I am now about to experience it!!!!!!!

AUTHORS NOTE #2

Chapter 4:

A week has passed since I've written in this Horse Memo Diary. And you have no idea what happened throughout this week. :( I am sorry. I was busy with a ...a...CUB!!!!!!! Yup! Beauty and Anne had gotten a cub. I had decided to name the cub.........................................John! I had decided that since John had named one after me, I had decided to name one after him. John is the cub's first name but I decided to give it a middle name too: Moonlight. Why did I decide to give it a middle name? This is why:

1. I had named the cub John as a thank you to John (person) for naming one after me.

2. I also named it John because a special guest, John had been a part of it.

3. I named its middle name Moonlight because he has a white mark on its forehead just like its dad, Anne. But not in a diamond shape like Anne but in a Crescent Moon shape!!!! Isn''t that adorable??? (As you can see in the picture of Anne and John Moonlight bonding). "Isn't it ADORABLE????????"

 Those are the reasons why...

AUTHORS NOTE:

See Moonlight in the next chapter which will come up next week. BYE!!!!!! or NEIGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! (In horse). Sorry this chapter is so short!!!!!

Horse Memo Diary Part 2

  Intro:

This chapter begins in the early 1877.

Chapter 2:

I open my eyes to the sound of Rooster Col calling to wake me up. I am not sure if I have overslept or not. You see, Rooster Col crows at 5:00, when I normally have to wake up and 7:00. I hope that I have woken up at 5:00 so that I can take care of my routine and then leave for Berkley at 7:00. I will be studying food, for that is all I know about. I love growing food and school so I'm sure I'll love studying about food too.

When I go outside, I notice that it's still pretty dark. YES. I have woken up at the right time. I hurry into the candle room. We don't have any lightbulbs yet and it's quite dark. I grab one that is about to run out and put it into my parents' room. I grab a feel their rag. My mom's is dry. THE FEVER IS HIGH. I feel my dad's. STILL A BIT WET. That's good. I kiss them goodbye and their eyes open up a bit and say, "Goodbye my Princess" with the last of their strength. I am worried. I stare at them as they fall back asleep. Princess. Princess. Princess. I am their Princess. I take the candle as it turns off.

I hop onto my horse, Beauty as I repeat. Princess. Princess. Princess. Beauty rushes in the dark while I hold a lamp.

Chapter 3:

Beauty stops in front of a palace. Come on beauty!!!! No time for breaks!!! But Beauty doesn't budge. Instead, she points her head to the palace. And starts to try to get me off. As I get off, she pushes me with her beautiful face towards the palace. OMG. This can't be Berkley. This is HUGE!!!

I go inside after sending Beauty back home. I am not worried that Beauty won't make it home because I have done this before and I know that she has good sense of getting home. After 10 weeks of collage, I get a letter from my dad. It says:

Hi my Princess, Anne,

Beauty arrived a 9 weeks and 6 days ago. Your mother died of a heart attack after knowing that you were gone. She had spent her last 10 minutes looking around the farm for you. She was really worried and when she remembered that she had said goodbye, she started crying and then, she...she... (you know what). I am sorry. I will try and get more money for you to stay in college. Oh, and the doctor came and told me that I am deaf but I will fight it for your own good.

Your Dad.

Anne dropped her textbook with a THUNK.  She screamed. Everyone in her class stared at me. I ignored them and grabbed her stuff and rushed outside. Just then, a boy who had been staring at me for the last 10 years chased after me and sat next to the crying lump, me on the stairs to the main entrance into Berkley. He grabbed my hand and led me into the yard of Berkley and beneath a large apple tree. There. A horse as beautiful as Beauty was grazing. Not on grass, but on the trees.

The boy, who I soon learned was John, tells me that the horse's name is Anne, although the horse is a boy. When I ask why, John's face turns red, as red as the apples on the tree. Then he whispers, "Because I named him after a girl I like." I look up at John. I then noticed for the first time, that he is quite handsome. Then, slowly, John wipes my tears with his fingers and picks me up, and onto Anne the Horse.

Without a split second passing, I told the horse, "To Forest Farm". Then with a neigh, Anne and I were off. As soon as I arrive, I see Beauty. She runs over to meet me. But as soon as she comes over, instead of pushing her head towards me, she starts licking Anne the Horse. I am quite surprised for Beauty gets vicious with other horses. Just then, I see a man. My...my...dad. I haven't seen him up and out of bed for years now and I am so glad he's alright. My dad comes over, holds my hand and takes me to a lump. There is a cross that says. Jessie. My mom's grave. I started to cry and my dad, who had been trying to fight tears, let the tears fall onto his face too.

Author's Note:

I'm sorry Ch. 3 is so sad. I almost started crying while writing this. Anyway, please comment about how much you like it so far! 1 star, all the way up to 5 stars!!!!! Thx!!!

Horse Memo Diary Part 1

Intro:

In this short story, you will be experiencing a 10 year old farmer girl, Annie's life. In this story, she will be meeting a new friend named Bella. Annie and Bella will soon learn they had known each other for their whole life. This story's setting takes place in the early 1867.

Chapter 1:

I open my eyes from the sound of Rooster Col's sweet sound. I need to wake up. I step into my shoes and look at the sundial on the dry soil. 7:00! I had overslept! The pigs woke up earlier than me! They are looking under piles of leaves trying to see if there's any food to eat. The pigs are now looking up to me as if calling my name,"Anne! Anne! Do you have any food?" My parents have been sick for weeks and I am their only hope. I take off like a rocket into the shed where we store our food and supplies.

I come back and shove apples into the begging pigs' mouths. They ask for more but that's all they get for breakfast. Next, I go to my parents' room. This is the Morning Song. All of this. From the rooster, the sundial, the pigs, to my parents. All of it. The song continues as I change the wet cloth on parents'               foreheads. They groan as I do this. They have had a fever for a couple weeks now and I am worried. The Morning Song fades away as the sun goes down. This is now the start of night's work. Since I didn't finish my morning work, I need to finish all of it at night. I am under lots of pressure but I know it's my fault for oversleeping.

I cut some wood and put the chunks into the fire. Next, I boil some water and put some rice in it. I am making some jook for my parents. You see, my grandparents are Korean and before they passed away, had made this for my parents. They had said jook was the best doctor for someone with fever. All it is "rice soup". Because it is soup, it is easy to eat...even for the sick. I grab 3 bowls and give one to each of my parents and one for myself.

My parents take the jook and finish almost automatically while I take a while thinking about how these tired and worn-out parents used to be such jolly ones. As I think, I look up at the sky and see a shooting star. I pray that my parents will get better soon.

*Author's Note*
Do you like it so far? I'll write chapter 2 as soon as I can,  so hang tight!

Around the World Trip 38

                                     July 19, 2015

Diary #38

Sorry I haven't been writing AGAIN. SORRY! SORRY! SORRY! I've been falling asleep like I said last time. I'm at home shouting, "HOME SWEET HOME!""

I have been on the plane for 4 hours and another 2 hours in a car of one of my dad's employees. In the car, we looked out the window and slept.

As soon as we arrived at my house, I took a shower and called my BFF who's moving to California. And after having dinner, I thought about our Around The World Trip. I asked myself questions and answered them. Here are SOME:

Q: Where did you enjoy the most?
A: Vienna. I liked it because we were never busy or tired there and was a clean place.

Q: What was the best part about Hawaii and the worst part?
A: I liked how we went swimming everyday and would always find something useful. One thing I didn't like was how my cousins would NEVER listen! The stress from them would give me a headache. Oh yah, another thing I enjoyed was the horse back riding tour. It was AWESOME! Except when my horse almost kicked another horse. Sorry, that occurred on a day I forgot to write.

Yah, today was basically a day of memories.

Around the World Trip 35

                                     July 16, 2015

Diary #35

Sorry I haven't written again for a long time but I kept drifting off to sleep every time I would get ready to write. Who knew being a big sis is hard? I didn't. Till NOW!!

This morning, I woke up EARLY. When we got in the car, my cousins were asleep. I would've thought it was cute if they're breath didn't smell like ROTTEN CHEEZE! BLAH!!

Anyway, we went to a beach and swam there for one hour with wild fish. Even if you took three steps from shore into the water, fish would swim right beside you! I loved it!

CANNOT FIND THE REST TO THE STORY

                  WE ARE DEEPLY SORRY

Around The World Trip 32

                                      July 13, 2015

Diary #32

Sorry I haven't been writing for a long time. I will just tell you what I've done so far: After meeting my cousins, aunt, and uncle, we rested swam, watched movies, played with dolls, walked on hikes, and more.

This morning, we woke up at 3:30AM. AM! AM! Yes, AM! We were all tired. We went to Haleakala National Park to see the sunrise. But we were too late and people that had been there when it happened, said that they didn't even notice because of the fog (clouds).

After some pictures, we went to eat breakfast at a Hawaiian Restaurant. It was really good but one of my cousins slept for 35/36 of the time, so she only got to eat fried rice. Ok, I was over exaggerating, 7/8 of the time.

Then, we came to our hotel to rest (watch movies) FUN!! - kind of.

Around The World Trip 26

                                      July 7, 2015

Diary #26

This morning, I woke up and left the hotel. My parents and I went on a walk through the palace park. I learned about the the two statues which were of people that saved Australia from becoming part of France. I also learned that France had fought Australia at one point!

After that, we went shopping. We went to Paul again. to buy my dad a tuxedo but we came out with empty hands. Then, we went ti Swatch. There, we bought a watch that represents Vienna. It has pictures of all the famous things in Vienna. It looked really cool and I have it on my wrist as I write this now.

Once we put my watch at our hotel room, we were starving. So we went to the Korean Restaurant we normally always went to. We had the three things that they made the best. The food was AWESOME.

On the way to our hotel, I got impatient so I told then I would meet them at the hotel after once they bought their groceries. After having a brief lunch, we went shopping again to buy me a traditional jacket. We went to 4 stores to find my size but we couldn't!

After that disappointing moment, we went to to a museum. The Albertina. It was Maria Terrisa's favorite daughter, Christine's building. It was Christine's art gallery. When we were buying tickets, a woman gave me a scavenger hunt sheet. I had to walk around looking for the painting that matched and wrote the title and artist on the back. Once I finished, I got a badge. Yay?!

After having a great dinner, we came back to our hotel where I am now.

Around the World Trip 25

                                      July 6, 2015

Diary #25

This morning, we went to a cafe. While my parents drank their coffee, I got famous Sisi Candy. It was purple and shaped like a flower. I tasted EPIC! After that great candy, we were lured to Hugo Boss. We had gone inside to get my dad a tuxedo, but as usual, my mom got something instead: TWO dresses. UNFAIR!

Then we went to Paul. It was a shop ONLY for men. My dad bought a handkerchief, tuxedo, and a jacket. They were all very pretty but as we were about to leave, something caught my eye: a bracelet with shapes of flowers. When an employee noticed I wanted it I wanted it, he told me to try it on. When I didn't, he did it for me. I thought he was trying to make us want to buy it but he wasn't! Instead, he was giving it to me for FREE!! COOL!

After that surprise, and after putting all our bags in our hotel room, we went to the Royal Family Grave. There, I saw lots of big and small tombs. small and BIG. My favorite was Sissi, her husband, and son's. I love FAMILY!

Then, we went to the Famous People Grave. There was a little "traffic circle". There were 3 graves making it. Mozart, Schubert, and Batoven.

After taking lots of pictures there, we went to have some Korean food. We had meat, noodles, and soup. YUM!

Around the World Trip 24

                                      July 5, 2015

Diary #24

This morning, we woke up at 9:00 and got ready to go outside. When we were 100% ready, we went to the Leopold Museum. It was a museum full of paintings. It had lots of paintings painted by my dad's favorite artist, Egon Schile and some of my mom's favorite artist, Gustave Klimt. They were all very beautiful.

After seeing all the beautiful paintings, we went to Kunsthaus Wien. It was also a museum but we didn't go see it. I'm sure if we did see it, I would've liked it.

After taking about 10 pictures, we walked to a restaurant. There, we had a bento, seafood, ramen, and a Chicken Mustard Salad and a Bibimbap.

Everything was REALLY good. I heart that restaurant!

Once we were full, we went to our hotel to lay our heads and go to sleep. As soon as we arrived my body kept trying to get on the bed but I had to force it to not to. The bed was like a magnet pulling me, the steel onto it. As soon as I was ready to get in bed, I let the huge magnet (bed) pull me onto it.

Around the World Trip 23

                                      July 4, 2015

Diary #23

Today we went to an old restaurant that someone told us to go to. (someone who worked at Louis Vuitton told us saying she had been to Vienna and had been there and had LOVED it) We ate chicken liver, chili steak salad, and steak. This is the ranking:

1st: chili steak salad
2nd: steak
3rd: (idk)
4th: (idk)
.
.
.
10th: chicken liver

Then we went to the Winter Palace Belvedere, like we planned. All that was there was a couple favorite paintings. Then again, I had to type all the names of them on my dad's phone.

After that, we came to our hotel to rest. I watched videos on youtube, solved puzzles, and went to sleep. Once we were in good shape, we went to Sofitel restaurant that has glass walls so you can see over all of Vienna. The glass walls made it special but the restaurant was on the highest floor of the hotel (which is REALLY up high) so you could see all of Vienna.

We ate lots of food like: steak, salmon, meatballs (crab cake), muscles, and more. Everything was REALLY good. Then, we came back to our hotel. I was so glad to be back, I almost shouted, "Home sweet home!!!!!!" but I forced my mouth shut and made myself not do it. Soon, after getting in bed, I fell asleep.

Around The World Trip 22

                                      July 3, 2015

Diary #22

This morning, we went to a Korean/Japanese Restaurant. There, we had Ramen but it wasn't spicy so we had to add chili sauce. After that ok food, we went to a Beleverde Palace. When we bought the family ticket, we got access to Upper Belvedere, Lower Belvedere, and Winter Palace Belvedere.

Today, we only looked at the Upper and Lower and Lower Belvedere. We saw lots of artists' paintings including Klimt's paintings. There were so many paintings I wanted to paint myself, I had 3 full pages of the names of paintings I wanted to paint when I went back home.

After seeing all the pieces of art at the Belvedere, we went shopping at really expensive places to buy a dress for me and a shirt for my dad. I bought a sweater made out of cashmere (aka the softest part of sheep's wool) and my dad got a sweater made out of normal wool, but of coarse, my mom got something too.

Once we all got some cloths, we noticed that every shop was closed, so we went to have some food. We went to the same Korean/Japanese Restaurant again but at a different location. After that, we went to buy some souvenirs. We bought a "Classical Mozart Music Box" that plays one of Mozart's songs. We also bought a shirt with a Converse logo on it but with "Vienna" replaced with "All Star". And we bought a book bag with Sissi's picture on it.

Around the World Trip 21

                                      July 2, 2015

Diary #21

Hey guys! Have you ever been upset because your friend is moving away? Well, I had that feeling for two days now - which will soon become three. I knew her since Pre-K. What I'm  saying is, she's like a part-time sister and she's moving to California. On the other hand, I'm glad for her dad since he just got a job at Apple. (which is why they're moving)

I woke up from the thought of that, almost crying. My parents noticed I was sad and tried to make me laugh. Then, we went to a cafe where we ate our breakfast. When we finished, we bought a family ticket which allowed us to go to the Imperial Apartment, the Sisi Museum, and the Silver Collection. My favorite part was the Silver Collection because there were cups, plates, containers, etc. made of china. Even though I normally don't care about plates and such, this ONE was different. It said it was voted best for years and I 00% agreed. It was an unnatural shade of blue like a really light turquoise.

Once we finished looking at the Sisi Museum and the Silver Collection, we went to rest at our hotel. Once we had plenty of rest, we went to the Imperial Apartments which were rooms for royal people. Then, we went to the top of a hill to see a sunset while we ate at a cafe. Once we finished, we noticed that that we were looking the wrong way so we went back down the hill.

After that exhausting exercise, we went to the Rose Park where there were lots of roses. It was a beautiful sight. After taking LOTS of pies, we went outside to get onto a taxi. It took about 40 minutes. After about 5000 taxis ignoring us, someone finally saw us and came to give us a ride to our hotel. Once we arrived, we went to Harry's (a grocery store a lot like Whole Foods) and bought some food to eat.

Around The World Trip 20

                                      July 1, 2015

Diary #20

This morning was a "resting day". As soon as we woke up, we went to "The Korean Restaurant" and had breakfast there. As soon as we finished eating, we went on a walk in a park of a palace. There, we saw a statue of Mozart. While we were looking at the backside of the statue, some school kids about my age took a class picture. We tried to stay out of the picture by hiding behind the statue.

After the walk, we went back to our hotel and went to sleep for a couple hours or so. Then, we went to a cafe, shop, etc near the Hofburg Palace. There, we drank coffee and apple juice. Afterwards, we went to the famous Donau River. There was a little section of sand with beach chairs to make it feel like a beach. I thought that was creative. All we did was hang our legs over the edge and sit there, on the floor.

When we got tired of just sitting there, we walked a LOT and when we finally arrived at our hotel, we threw ourselves onto our beds. We forced ourselves out of our beds and got ready to sleep. One by one we finished getting ready and went to sleep.

Around The World Trip 19

                                      June 30, 2015

Diary #19

I woke up at the same time my parents did. Once we were ready to go outdoors, we went to the Korean Restaurant we always went to. When we were full, we went to a art museum. There, I saw three beautiful paintings. Two of them had things in common: people were redrawing it for themselves and occurred during the winter. The other one was of Adam and Eve under an apple tree with a snake dangling down from the tree.

After starting into all the beautiful paintings my mom, dad, and I went to our hotel to rest. Inside, we slept, read books, and solved puzzles. The next event was the best of all. We went to watch a opera called "Rigoleto" about a jester who is cursed by an old man because the jester embarrassing the old man's daughter by of ripping the top part of her dress in front of lots of people. All of a sudden the jester is afraid.

Then, news spills that the jester's wife was beautiful. A playboy, the jester's master finds her and messes with her. She is in love with him even though he has ditched her. The jester tries to kill his own master but when his only family member, his daughter finds out, she dies for her beloved playboy. Before throwing his "master" into the water, he decides to take a peek. When he notices that his daughter is dead instead of his master, he remembers about the curse. The curse had made all of this happen!

After that terrifying, sad, but good opera finished, everyone spilled out of the Golden Hall (where we watched it) including us. We went to the hotel and after counting 20 sheep, I fell asleep.

Around The World Trip 18

                                       June 29, 2015

Diary #18

I opened my eyes and looked outside the window. It was morning. It was morning. I looked at my parents' bed. My mom was still in sight but my dad? I could not find. Where could he be? As I got out of bed, I saw him. Reading. Reading his tour book on the hotel couch in our room. We made eye contact. I told him I was hungry, so my dad and I woke my mom. She sat up and searched for a Korean Restaurant nearby on my dad's phone. Once we decided on one, we walked out of our hotel and walked into the restaurant.

Once we got outside, we went up the stairs to the 2nd floor. There, we grabbed a booth next to the window. The chair was hard but not bad. Once we ordered some food, I got bored. My ears started to transform into dog ears. They decided to listen to the people sitting behind us. There was one kid and two adults. They were taking about getting another kid. The mom asked the kid if she wanted her to ged another child. The little girl said no. At that moment, I wanted to crawl into the girl's little head and tell the mom, "Yes. I would like a little sibling." I wanted to tell the girl how lonely it was if you didn't have one.

After devouring our food, we went to St. Stephen Church. St. Stephen had been a private school I had wanted to go to. This church was famous for the colorful tiled roof. We went onto an elevator to the top of the church. We could see the the roof up close and over the whole city and some part of another city. On the colorful tiled roof had two eagles representing Swiss and Australia.

After getting back onto the safe ground, we went wandering around the shopping area. Then, we went back to our hotel and slept a bit. After that short nap, we went to a Mozart Concert. It was GREAT. There were lots of people watching. No wonder! I enjoyed everything about it but I liked how the singers acted out what they were singing the most.

Around The World Trip 17

                                       June 28, 2015

Diary #17

As I got out of bed, I thought about myself leaving this wonderful city called Praha. When I got out of bed, after eating an apple, my parents and I went to a Japanese Restaurant but after noticing that it was closed, we went to a XS Korean Restaurant.

I liked my mom's Jangbong the most. It was exactly like Ramen! Yum! After devouring my mom's food, we went to Mozart's born place. They had transformed it into a museum. The weirdest thing I saw there were strands of Mozart's hair in a glass case. When I went to the gift shop, I found something I wanted: a tuning box that played one of Mozart's songs, but my parents said it was too big and ugly.

After seeing everything there, we went to the Residentz. Where the Archbishop lived. My dad told me he liked places like the Louvre in Paris more and I totally agreed. After that, we went to Mozart's house that he lived in later on. I think I liked the house he was born in more. In the gift shop, my dad got Mozart Chocolate. It tasted AWESOME! YUMM!

After that good stuff, we went to the Milavil Park aka the background of the Sound of Music. We took pictures on a statue of a unicorn and some in the flowers. Also, I threw a coin into the fountain after wishing.

After that fun stuff, we went to our hotel where I am now. After I got ready to go to bed, I walked over to my bed and got in it and just laid there counting sheep. Until I fell into a deep sleep.

Around The World Trip 16

                                       June 27, 2015

Diary #16

Today was a chilly day. I woke up from the sound of my parents shouting at me. As I forced myself out of bed, my parents took me downstairs to have breakfast. It was really good, but when I had tried everything I wanted to eat, I thought I was missing something.

When me and my parents were done with our food, we went to the train station. The first thing we did when we went inside was look for our gate number: 7J We asked 3 people but they either didn't know or wasn't sure. Luckily though, my dad spotted a man in a safety jacket. We rushed over to him and asked him, because we were running out of time. He led the way and we followed until we reached 7J. When my dad handed him 100 kc, he said he needed 200 kc. At first, we thought it was a waste of time but he stayed by our side and when the train arrived, he pointed to which one we needed to ride.

When we got on, we saw some people in our room. We started talking to them and became friends. We talked and talked until we arrived. We rushed off because we only had 8 minutes before departure. When we finally got on, we had beads of sweat going down our faces and everyone was fanning themselves.

Once we arrived at Salzburg, we hopped off and went to get on a taxi. A taxi man told us to get on one so we went towards it but someone was already on it. The man who told us wrong hopped into his taxi. When we walked towards it, he drove to the front of the line, so we followed. We thought he would help us put our bags in but instead, he glared at us as we put them in ourselves. When we got inside, he literally shouted at my mom saying that she couldn't get on with a bag. That's when my dad got mad. He got out of the car and got the bags out of the taxi and told him we didn't want to ride his taxi.

My dad grabbed all our bags and tried to get on another taxi but he didn't let us because he was friends with the rude taxi man and was on his side. Then, a man in a minivan who had seen it all told us to get on with a smile on his face. So we got into his taxi. When we arrived at our hotel, my dad gave him lots of tips and thanked him.

Then we went to a BEAUTIFUL church, St. Peter. It had lots of gold and was HUGE. Next, after a LONG hike, we went to the top of a castle where we could see all of Salzburg. Once we were done looking and our legs were sore from walking, we went back to our hotel and went to sleep.

Diary #15

This morning, I woke up in a weird looking place. Then, I remembered that I was in the overnight train with a Grouchy Conductor next door. I had been woken by the train alarm. At first, it frightened me because I thought it was a fire alarm going off. But soon, I noticed that it was just the train alarm. Just then, my parents called me  to come eat with them.

They had finished theirs already and had left a little box for mine. They said it had my breakfast in it. I opened it excitedly and noticed there was only bread in it. My excitement flowed out of me. When we finally arrived at Praha, we got on a taxi and went to our hotel, Paris Hotel. Once we put our bags in our room, we went outside to look at a clock that shows wrong knowledge: that the Sun rotates around the Earth.

Then we went to a church diagonal from the clock that we had just seen. This church had been a normal church but when it was passed onto the Catholic, people got mad and built a building right in front of it to hide most of it. After that, we went to Karl's Bridge. We prayed there because were two statues that if you that if you touched it and prayed, your wish would come true.

After making a wish, we bought a ticket to look at all 1-10 exhibits in the Praha Palace. After the exhausting exhibits, we went to a bar to have some food. Once we finished eating, we went to a organ and trumpet show. I fell asleep for most of it though. But I knew it was good because I could still hear it in my sleep and it was good.

After listening to that, we went to watch a puppet show of Dogovani by Mozart. I liked it a LOT. I thought it was funny at some parts like when Mozart the puppet would play around with the composers.

Once that finished, we went back on the bridge and took 30 pictures and went to the hotel where I fell asleep almost automatically.

Diary #14

The weather was great outside. As I got out of bed, my parents and I went to the 0th floor to have breakfast. My great happiness was ruined with the taste of the food. After a bit of rest up in our room, we got onto a cable car that drove at 70 degrees. We felt like we were laying down while we went up. We went to the top to look at the nature. On the way down, we went to the castle. On the way inside, we saw the witch's tooth mark on the door handle. When we went inside, they had killer views over the city.

Once we arrived down onto the safe ground we went to the Heidelberg University. We went to the shop ad bought cloths for me and my mom. I also got a cap. Then we went to the student jail. There were lots of paintings on the wall drawn by students in jail describing how they felt.

Then, we left the dungeon and went to the train station and got on the overnight train with...BEDS! Awesome! But the conductor was rude especially at my mom for not knowing English. He should hear himself talking! He's even worse! R.U.D.E...C.O.N.D.U.C.T.O.R!!! (Mad face) (Thumbs down for him)

Diary #13

Today was a sunny day. As I woke up from a delightful dream, I put on my shoes and went downstairs with my parents to have some breakfast. When we arrived at the breakfast area and started eating, I noticed how sick I was of eating the same things. I still tried to make the best out of our breakfast since it was the last day in Munich.

We walked into the sunny sunlight and went to the left of the hotel, where the train station was. We got onto our train right away. When we finally got on, we were exhausted because we walked all the way to the other side of the train station to get to 1st class.

On our way there, while tiny raindrops and sunlight hit our windows, I went to sleep for 2 hours and 30 minutes. Leaving 30 minutes. When our train stopped at Heidelberg, we got off the train. My parents and I went to the information desk to get a map and to buy an umbrella.

When we got outside of the train station, I was really glad to see lots of taxis. We got into the taxi in the front of the line and after a 10 minute drive, we had arrived at our hotel. When we looked out the window of our room, we could see everything! Our hotel was in the middle of the University of Heidelberg and a palace! Our floor was crooked too! ;) My mom took a pencil and put it against a wall on one side and it started rolling toward the other side of the room even though we didn't even touched it! We decided to go have some food. As soon as we left the hotel and turned right, we saw a Korean Restaurant!

After finishing our lunch, we went to Kurpfalzishes Museum. I had many favorite paintings but my favorite painting was of a tall tower that touched the clouds. The background was so in detail, I felt like I knew this place by heart. My least favorite painting was of a heap of dead birds about to be eaten. My mom and I had finished looking around the museum and was waiting for my dad for over 20 minutes. When we got tired of waiting, we decided to go outside into the cafe area. While we sat at our table, we could hear my dad! When I looked up, I saw his head poking out of the window!'

Once we caught up with each other, we went on a cruise. They pointed out palaces, but after some time, we got bored. Without even knowing it, I kept falling asleep. We got off the cruise and went back to the Korean Restaurant we had eaten at a few minutes ago. After finishing our WONDERFUL food, we went up the Philosopher's Trail. When we reached the top, we could look over all of Heidelberg. It felt like I was looking over all of Europe. Well, that was all of today!:)

Diary #12

This morning, as I got out of bed, I felt like someone that hadn't slept in ages and had to wake up after one hour of sleeping. When I finally managed to wake up, instead of falling back asleep, my parents and I left our hotel room and went to have breakfast down at the lobby. When we finished our breakfast, we got into a taxi and went to the Doiches Museum. There, we saw the Light Brothers' plane, Maria the ship, rockets, telescopes, compasses, etc. When we got out of the museum, we searched for a taxi for 20 minutes. When we finally found a taxi, we rushed to get inside before anyone else could.

After having lunch at a Vietnamese Restaurant, we went to the BMW Museum. The building looked epic. It looked like one of those crab shells. Anyway, there were LOTS of people. They had cars and motorcycles. There was a little station with cars you could test drive. They also showed their new model, the I8. It was an electronic sports car. But I thought it was terrible. It looked EXACTLY like my dad's Tesla. They copied the Tesla and added an hole on the front of the car! COPYCATS!!

After admiring the BMW building, we went to the Alte Pinakothe. There, we drank tea and coffee. After devouring our drinks, we went inside to look at some pieces of art. My favorite piece of art was of a little hut in the forest. After having dinner, we went to our hotel to sleep. That's where I am right now writing and reading.

Diary #11

This morning, I woke up and went to have breakfast with my parents. The food here was much better than ever. Even Marriott! After finishing, breakfast, we went to a museum called Residents. Residents had two sections: treasure and residents. In the a residents room, there was just a long hallway with lots of sculptures. In the treasure, crowns, Jesus on a cross, and more.

We went to a really old German Restaurant. I wanted Rib Eye Steak but my parents didn't allow me and got salad with meat instead of lettuce - DISGUSTING! Pig - blah! And duck - not the best. I still thought the Rib Eye would be better but I was too full.

After that, we went to the Nymphenburg Palace. There we 5 places to go to. We went to the first one. There were bedrooms of the king, queen, and their children. There also was pictures of all the girls the king liked. There were so many!!

(I thought some of them were pretty too)

Then, we went to another building. This one had lots of wagons. There were sleds, wagons for the poor, dead, royal family, etc. There were saddles, stuffed horses, eagles, peacocks, and other birds made of china. The eagle looked real and scared me and my parents at first. After that, we went to another building. This one had lots of art on tiles and there was a room that was a lot like a mirror room in Paris, France. After the "mirror room building", we went to another building. After LOTS of walking, we finally arrived. This one had lots of paintings and was supposed to be a spa and pool building. It had been one a long time ago.

We admired and guessed what everything was and got it correct. And when we finished, we went to another room. This one, we had to go up a staircase. The walls were made out of tiles with different paintings on each one. When we reached the top, it was just like a normal house. It had a bed, a mirror, a dresser, a closet, etc.

We were so tired, we decided to go eat at a Korean Restaurant. There were lots of good food there. But the only gave out a little amount of food. We went to a art museum. We saw many unique paintings, but overall, we liked the Sunflower the most. After seeing all the paintings, we were hungry. AGAIN.

                                 ( You probably think I'm a pig but that's why I'm so tall. )

After eating, we went to our Hotel to sleep. This is where I am right now.

                                       June 21, 2015

Diary #10

This morning, I woke up seeing my parents at the door with their bags at hand. As I felt rushed, I rand to the bathroom and did my hair, brushed my teeth, and even washed my face. My parents were shouting at me now. They thought I was taking too long.

As soon as I finished putting on my jacket, scarf, and shoes, I rushed to the elevators. Once we arrived at the lobby, my dad got off instructing us to go eat breakfast while he was checking us out of the hotel. So, my mom and I went upstairs to have breakfast. When we reached the buffet, the man behind the counter asked for our room number but my mom and I didn't - no - couldn't remember. Therefore, we had to stand there till my dad came and told the man our room number. We were at Marriott Hotel. The food was outstanding. Sweet fruit, - for once - bacon, salad, sausage, pickles, etc. It was perfect. After finishing 2 full plates of breakfast, I was full.

I looked up noticing that my parents had been waiting for me to finish. I grabbed my bags again and went outside the hotel. On the way out, I said bye to a statue of a elephant. Then, we rode on a taxi to the train station. We got onto a train station. We got onto a train and came to Munich. On the way there, I played games, slept, and talked.

As soon as we arrived, we went into our room, I was in love. Once we put away our bags, we hopped back into a taxi and went to Karls Plaza. Karl was the name of a king we saw yesterday at one of the churches.

The best place in Kals Plaza was the clock tower with kids that danced and moved around. There was a top and bottom section. The top section's setting was Wilhelm II's  wedding. And the bottom was a ballroom party.

Also, we had food at Karls Plaza. Korean. AGAIN. But it was incredibly good. While we waited to get our food, my mom asked a kid sitting, "How old is she?" The girl stopped talking and became shy. Her dad, who was next to my mom started talking to us . That's when we started to talk to them. We had made another friend! When I finished eating, I thought it was good, I wanted to eating some more, but I was WAY too full.

Diary #09

I am really excited to tell you about today, so we will start right away. This morning, I woke up, ate breakfast, and went up to our hotel room. When we reached our room, we rushed inside, grabbed our luggage, and went out the automatic doors of our hotel. We grabbed a taxi and went to another better hotel, Marriott.

When we went into the good smelling lobby, we told a employee that we wanted to drop off some of our luggage. Once he took our bags into the luggage room, we left the hotel and went to two churches, the Grossmunstuer and the Fraunster.

In the Grossmunstuer, we saw a beautiful pipe organ with bits of of gold on it and also a statue of King Karl beneath the ground. He scared both me and my mom at first but seemed interesting at the end.

In the Fraunster, as soon as we opened the heavy doors, we were welcomed by the sound of the pipe organ. It was a mystery to know who was playing it. Also, inside, there was this room with beautiful stain glass windows. There was a gift shop with bookmarks of the stain glass windows but closed right before my eyes. :(

Once we left the churches, we went to a grocery store, bought some food ate it at the park with a statue of Pestalozzi. We ate tuna bread which smelled - well - fishy (disgusting) but surprisingly good.

After finishing our food, we went to an AWESOME museum, the Heidi Weber Museum. Once I noticed how cool it was, we decided to build our house like it. My favorite and most impressed painting was used as a door that you  pushed and it would turn 360 degrees. The door had two sides so it was basically two. When I first saw it, (thinking that it was a sculpture) I asked my mom to take a picture of me "pretending I was pushing the door open. But when it moved I was so surprised that I turned out looking surprised in the picture. My parents and I stayed there for about 2 hours because we felt touched by the art.

We finally decided to leave when we felt hungry. But instead of eating we decided to rest at our hotel first and then go to eat. When "food time" finally arrived, we went to a FIVE STAR restaurant, Mimisa. It was SOOOOOOOOOOO good!! Our plates were spotless when we finished eating. It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good!!

Diary #08

I am lying on my bed like a turtle on its back. I will be telling you about my day. So, as soon as I woke up, my parents and I went downstairs to have our breakfast. As soon as I finished eating, we went upstairs in a split second.

Then, we grabbed a taxi and went to the train station. After raking four train rides, we had took over 50 pictures total. Oh, and made sure to go to the information desk at every stop to ask if they'd seen my mom's phone, but we had no luck. Also in between train number 1 and 2, we went to a Korean restaurant to have lunch. Not only that, we also went to a famous chocolate store, Spriingli. There, we took 3 macarons  and one chocolate. It was REALLY GOOD!

When we arrived at our hotel, we had some rest. I watched episodes on YouTube while my parents wrote a lost report about the iPhone 6+ my mom lost.

Then, we went outside to have our dinner: Korean food, again. After taking a stroll in the park, we went to a cafe. While my parents drank coffee, I just hanged out. After taking more pictures, we went back to  out hotel and I ended up on my back like a flipped over turtle.

Diary #07

In the morning, I woke up and had breakfast. Once we finished devouring our breakfast, we went to the train station to go on top of another Swiss Mountain, The Top of Europe aka  Jungfrau. It took two train rides to get there. My parents and I took LOTS of pictures. Once we finally arrived, my mom felt dizzy so she took a pill. I didn't feel dizzy so I didn't. My parents say that you get dizzy because there's less oxygen on a mountain.

Soon after we got off the train, I felt dizzy so I took a pill. I felt a bit better but after about five minutes, I was dizzy again so I took another pill. That's when I started to feel sick and sleepy. After taking 10 steps up the stairs, I was tired because of the lack of oxygen. I kept going though. Whenever we went somewhere, I'd try to find somewhere to sit. Even though you don't move, you still have a hard time breathing. That's how hard it was to find oxygen!

Once we went outside and into the ice and snow, we took lots more pictures. And as someone who hates pictures, I practically ran away from my parents and into the building The funniest thing that happened was this: people kept slipping because they didn't know that stepping in other people's footprints that they left behind would make things safer! And I was the youngest one there! I had to go outside and tell my parents to step on the footprints so they wouldn't get hurt!

The worst part was this: my mom didn't get to see 75% of anything because she was tending to me! Because I was sick! I felt really bad. Before I could make it up to her, another bad thing happened: She lost her phone! We backtracked but couldn't find it! So whenever we went to a train station, we asked the people working at the information desk to help us find it. By asking people and checking on the trains.

Diary #06

In the morning, I was REALLY excited. We were going to one of the Swiss Alps! We went downstairs and checked out of the hotel. Once we were outside, we got on a taxi and went to the train station. That's when my excitement drained out of me like someone had drained the water out of the sink. We were going to be on trains all day.

We first got on our first train and went to Lucrn. When we arrived, we walked across a bridge with a roof on it, the famouse Kapell bruch. There  were lots of pictures on it and a killer view. Once we were on the other side, we walked a long distance to a beautiful church with lots of gold inside, Hofkirche. We played a lot in there. Also we couldn't stop taking pictures because it was so pretty.

When we finally finished admiring it, we walked some more to a Lowendenkmal, a statue of a lion sleeping. Beside it we we went to Gletschergarten., with pits where glaciers form. When we went inside a room, we saw rocks, ice: cold ice and warm ice. We also saw a "frost machine". I liked it the most because it had a metal piece in it and when you pressed the button, it would lower the temperature. When it gets low enough, frost starts to form and you can see it on a screen which is like a microscope so you can see it better. In another room, the mirror room, you see LOTS of yourself. Your in a maze made of mirrors. My parents and I had to touch our way around like we do in the dark. You see, the mirrors trick the eye and makes it harder.

The next part was the worst. We walked over what felt like 1000 km. We kept walking until we saw school kids. The Museggmaur, a schoolhouse, was there. We took over 10 flights of stairs with about 10 stairs each! OVER 100 STAIRS! It was EXHAUSTING!

Luckily, the next thing was food. We went to a Korean restaurant called Korea Town. It felt like HEAVEN. It was so good!! Then, after 2 boring train rides, we came to Wengen. Once we arrived, we hiked a tiny bit to our hotel - where I am right now - Hotel Bevedere.

I woke up this morning and was depressed. But today didn't turn out to be so boring. I woke up depressed; like I said earlier. When I was finished getting dressed, we went downstairs and ate breakfast. There was less food than I had expected. They had bread, scrambled eggs, salad yogurt dressing, pineapples, orange juice, pear, and cereal. That was all! No sausage or meat!

After devouring my "snack", my parents and I went to the airport.

Diary #04

I'm laying on the bed of a hotel in Barcelona. I left my Madrid hotel AKA the most expensive hotel in the world, Ritz in the morning. I am also with Madri Ginger Ritz, my new teddy bear from Ritz. I well, my dad and I decided we'd call him Madri because-well-he's from Madrid and Madri sounds a lot like Madrid. I decided to make his middle name Ginger because his "fur" color is...ginger. His last name is Ritz because he's from Ritz.

Enough about Madri and lets talk about what we did today. In the morning, we went to the worlds oldest restaurant. When I went in, I was excited because I knew the food would be awesome. After 20 minutes of waiting for our food: a baby pig, some steak, and some salad, it finally came. My fork and knife landed on my steak first. I took a bite. Not bad, but not the best. I moved onto the salad. Better than the steak, but then again, not the best. Finally, I tried the famous baby pig. DISGUSTING! I thought it was salty. Not only that, I thought about a newly born pig being killed and I felt bad.

After that, "not so good" food, we went to Tyssen-Bornemisza. They gave me a page full of pictures of paintings or sculptures to look for. It was fun. I liked how it showed only a small part of the painting to look for so it wouldn't be too easy. Me and my parents would walk around looking for these paintings. It was like a scavenger hunt.

After that fun activity, we went to the Del Padro Museum. This art museum was a bit more boring than the other museum. My least favorite painting was a king eating his own child because he's afraid that his own child would over-rule him someday. I didn't like it because it was so sad, mean, and displeasing to the eye.

Once we finished the boring activity, we went to ride a train back to Barcelona. Once we arrived from the exhausting ride, we went to the Bull Stadium. We were going to go inside so my dad told me how to do the bull fighting. About how they stressed the bull then killed it, I was both sad and angry. The bulls didn't do ANYTHING! Why kill them then? They're living things too! We walked up to a man to go inside but he said it was now a mall. He said they got rid of was too cruel. I was glad but my parents were upset. They really wanted to see it.

Then, we took pictures at Tore Agbar, Sagrada Familia, and the Sanpau Hospital. After all those pictures, we went to eat at a Japanese Restaurant. I was REALLY good, especially the because I was STARVING. And that's all that happened today.

Diary #03

I am laying on my bed again but I'm in Madrid this time. In the morning, we left Novel, the hotel we stayed in at our visit to Barcelona and went to the train station, Madrid Autocha. There, we got on a really long bus. I watched TV for 1 hour and 45 minutes and slept for the remaining hour on the was here.

When we got off the bus, I was really hungry, but instead of eating, we went to spend some time at the art  museum because none of the restaurants were open. After a couple hours, we were tired, so we went wandering around Madrid. Soon, there were only 20 minutes until the restaurants would open so we got on a taxi and went to the restaurant. When we arrived, we still had 7 minutes left so we sat down on a bench. When the door opened, I almost flew into the restaurant. We ordered and talked but the food seemed to take forever! I felt like pounding on the table and shouting,"FOOD! FOOD! FOOD!" When the food finally came out, I almost choked because I was eating too fast. When we finished, we went to the hotel and went to sleep.

When I woke up, I was a bit dizzy. When we got outside, we went to Plaza de Espana. Me and my parents saw a water fountain but we couldn't find what we were looking for, Sancho and Donkey Jote. When we went to the back side of the huge fountain, we saw a statue of Sancho and Donkey Jote. My dad and I ran up to the platform while my mom took the picture.

After that, my dad bought me Coconut Gelato. While I was eating, we went to a palace. But for some reason, I thought the church next to it looked better.

Next, we saw a building that had LOTS of food inside. It was like a building with lots of restaurants inside. We ate oysters, olives, shrimp, rice (paeya), clams, mustles, yogurt, etc. Once we were full we went to a palace that the mayor used to live in. We went to a outdoor cafe to drink coffee and juice.

Next to us, a family with a kid who was a boy was there. The boy had a small soccer ball and kept kicking it at me. I kept kicking it to him. Surprisingly, it was fun. My family and his family started talking about our World Vacation. We had made a "family friend"!

                                            June 13, 2015

Diary #02

I am laying on my bed thinking about all the things we've done today. Today is the second and last day in Barcelona.

I didn't get to eat breakfast this morning because I woke up too late. My parents and I left the hotel and into the hot weather. We walked over to the taxi stop and got into the first taxi in line. The driver dropped us off at the trail in front of the Guell Park. We had tickets to Gaudi House Museum so we went inside.

We had just entered Gaudi's house!!! We saw his bathroom, bedroom, parlor, etc. When we walked out the backdoor, we arrived at his garden. My dad said it was his "Dream Garden" and wanted to make one just like it.

Once we finished admiring the garden, we followed the trail some more. Then, through the giant trees, I saw the famous Guell Park Bench! I ran over to it and noticed that I had to wait in line with tickets but luckily, we already had tickets. As I tried to give a man who worked there the tickets, he said we had to wait 5 minutes in line. After 5 minutes of waiting, we were aloud inside. FINALLY! As soon as I was inside, I rushed over to a shady area and sat on my "Dream Bench". People had said this bench was really comfortable but I had never believed them. But as I sat, I noticed that this hard bench really was comfortable! Even comfier than a cushioned couch!

After lots of sitting, we went downstairs. The chair had been on a roof! WE had been sitting on a roof! We had been on the roof of the "Rainy Clouds Building"! After we took 300 pictures in the "Rainy Clouds Building" we walked over to the "Wave Cave". My parents and I thought one of bars looked like a woman balancing stuff on her head. I copied her with an upside down hat on my head. Soon, I learned that Gaudi had purposely made that one pillar look like a woman holding stuff on her head.

After getting that into knowledge, we went to see the Iguana Water Fountain. There, we took another 20 pictures. Once we were done taking pictures, we went back to our hotel. After a couple hours of sleep, we went to Guell's House. There were Christmas Trees made out of tiles on the roof. Guell had been a rich friend of Gaudi's and had wanted him to build him a house. I said to myself, If Gaudi were still alive,I would've asked him to build me a house too. I was REALLY impressed with Gaudi's work and I would love to own one. When we finished staring at his wonderful work, we went to a restaurant called La Falda. I had steak, mom had black rice, and dad got a baby octopus squirted with an ink sack. We all agreed that All of it was REALLY good.

REAL Story of me in Paris, France

Spreading Rumors

I have just come back from school and I have already started some rumors about me going to Paris. They were so jealous, they even asked me if I could pack them in my bag! Some were even willing to be my maid for the whole trip!

Paris! At Last!

Before I went to Paris,I had no idea what Paris was like. In fact, I didn't even know why it was so incredulously famous. All I knew was that Paris was the home of romance and the effervescent Eiffel Tower.

We are about to get out of this smelly plane. As the plane came to a complete stop, I was ready to run out of the plane. I was sick and tired of sitting, looking out the window, and even watching videos.

The Great View of the Eiffel Tower

I ran out of the plane and almost trampled over some people while on my way. Now that we had got out of the plane, we had to find a taxi to take us to our hotel. As we rode past the Eiffel Tower, I got a great view. I had only seen this magnificent sight. It was so tall!! I couldn't believe it was so tall. I knew it would be tall because everybody said it was but I didn't know it would be this tall.

The Great View over Paris

I am now on the very top of the Eiffel Tower. Whenever I turned,

I am in Barcelona right now and will be telling you about today. In the morning, I woke up to the sound of the pilot talking to us over the speaker that we were about to land in Barcelona. After a few minutes, the plane started to fly in circles. There was a "traffic jam". As soon as my mom and I got off the plane, we rushed outside to find a taxi. When we got to our hotel, we called my dad to come down from his hotel room. As soon as we went to our room after a HUGE hug, I was disappointed. Our room was SO small!! When my dad noticed I was disappointed about our room size, he decided to show me his room he'd been staying in. It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO small! Even smaller than our room!

Once we moved our stuff into our small room, we helped my dad get all of his stuff out of his XS room and into our small room. When we were done with all of that, we went to a church, the Sagrada Familia (Holy Family) that a famous architect, Gaudi built. We walked around with our group and tour guide. When our tour was finished, we walked around again and admired it until our legs, knees, shins, ankles, and feet hurt.

Afterwards, we went to the La Pedrera (Casa Milla), also built by Gaudi. This one also had lots of tiles but it also had broken glass bottles. I thought that the most special part about the La Pedrera was that it had tall structures on the roof which made my family think of people wearing a knight's helmet. I thought the view was amazing. I could look over ALL of Barcelona while I was up there!

Around the World Trip Day -01

                     June 10,2015

Diary # -01

I am back to sitting on the couch like I was yesterday. But this time, I'm excited to go on a around the world trip. My dad has already started his around the world trip and is probably having fun already. I can't wait to join in the fun on Friday. Tomorrow, is when I will be on a plane on my way there but I don't consider that as the start of fun because I'm not going to do anything fun but sit in a plane for hours. I still miss my dad but I'm one day away from seeing him again. I CAN'T WAIT!

Diary Around the World Day -02

                                                                                                                                          June 9,2015

Diary # -02

I am sitting on my couch just staring into space. My entertaining dad is now in the airport waiting for his plane's departure. Me and my mom are at home. We had dropped him off at the airport just minutes before but I feel like it was 100000000 years ago and I'm missing him. We will meet him in Barcelona the day after tomorrow. Can't wait till then. My friends are jealous of me going on a around the world trip but the truth is, it's not that awesome. You see, I've been on way too many trips. I'm used to it. This around the world trip is just a bunch of my normal vacations put all into one big vacation with no end to it. But of course, I know I'm going to regret this. I'm sure this is not a big deal around the world vacation will become a big deal when I actually start doing it.

Information About Madrid, Spain

History

Madrid was originally called Mayrit. Toledo had been the main city before Madrid. Madrid gained importance after the Arabs decided to occupy Madrid. Madrid was one of the cities where they allowed people from all different cultures. Madrid was decided to be the capital of Spain by a king, Alfonso I, in 1083. All symbols of the Muslim world were removed and some of the culture was lost.

History of Buildings, Parks, etc.

The Main Square (Plaza Mayor) was built under the order from Jhon II in the 13th century. Later, the building of El Padro Palace was ordered to be built by another king, Enrique III. This palace was built to be used as shelter for royal visits.

History of the Government

When they noticed that Madrid kept growing in size, the government decided to move the Spanish Court from Toledo to Madrid. Soon, the Spanish Court moved to Valladolid in 1601, but it returned back to Madrid 5 years later.

The Spanish War

The Spanish War took place during the 19th century. This sad but historic time was a bloody time. The French and citizens of Madrid took part in this war. The French were trying to take over the Madrid territory. This battle took place on May 2nd 1808. During this time, the Spanish War of Independence took place as well.

Electing President

After the death of General Franco in the 20th century, the Spanish Constitution of 1978 decided to make Madrid the capital city of Spain. The first democratic local elections were held in Madrid in 1979 to choose the first city mayor. They elected Enrique Tierno Galván as the first governor. Madrid had then grown in size, and the population of the metropolitan reached 3 million residents and nearly 6 million people in total.
